How Ellacor Works
On the day of your procedure, Dr. Bass or one of his certified medical assistants will apply a topical numbing cream to your skin before injecting your treatment area with lidocaine. This additional numbing helps ensure you have a comfortable, pain-free experience from start to finish.
We provide this same type of injectable numbing for Morpheus8 treatments as well. Using injectable lidocaine for Ellacor and Morpheus8 treatments sets us apart from all other practices in the area!
Once you’re fully numb, Dr. Bass carefully and precisely treats you with the micro-coring device. This process removes micro-cores of skin.
There’s nothing like removing excess skin to tighten it. Additionally, micro-coring with Ellacor stimulates collagen production as well.
Ellacor sessions can take 2-3 hours to complete, depending on the size of your treatment area.
Redness, swelling, bruising, and mild tenderness are all common side effects that patients experience after their Ellacor treatment, but these effects generally only last for up to 1 to 2 weeks.
During your recovery, we recommend taking time off work to relax, recuperate, and let your skin heal. You can resume wearing makeup on the fifth day after treatment.

Morpheus8 combines traditional microneedling with radiofrequency (RF) energy to support the body’s natural healing process and tissue regeneration. How?
Morpheus8 uses thin microneedles to reach down into the dermis, or the middle layer of skin. While in the skin, the needle tips deliver radiofrequency energy (heat) to the tissue.
This process creates “micro-injuries” from the needles and a mild thermal injury to the skin as well. Our skin’s natural wound-healing process is turned on by these injuries causing the skin to heal itself by producing more collagen and elastin. This thickens the skin, which is good. Thick skin is healthier and wrinkles less than thin skin.
The Morpheus8 needles can penetrate the skin at depths of 0.5 to 7mm. This allows Morpheus 8 to both tighten skin (0.5 to 2mm) and to reduce fat (3 to 7mm). The variety of treatment depths allows Morpheus8 to be used to sculpt the face, in addition to several areas of the body.
