How it Works
1. Exfoliation
The first step of a DiamondGlow facial in Oak Ridge is an in-depth skin exfoliation. We’ll gently remove dead skin cells and surface level blemishes from your skin using the DiamondGlow applicator.
At the same time, we’ll cleanse your skin of contaminants, opening up your pores in the process. This prepares them for the rest of the DiamondGlow process and helps deliver the best results from treatment.
2. Extraction
After your skin is exfoliated and cleaned, DiamondGlow truly shines thanks to the precisely cut diamond-tipped extractor. With this tool, your aesthetician will methodically extract deep-seated blackheads and contaminants in your skin.
During extraction, we can remove blackheads and other substances that can cause acne, discoloration, and skin damage. With regular treatments, we’ll even be able to prevent minor skin issues from growing into more noticeable problems.
3. Infusion
At the same time as your extraction, our team will also infuse your skin with a special hydrating serum. This serum will enter into your refreshed pores and supply your skin with healing nutrients, hydrating fluids, and other targeted substances to combat your skin concerns.
As the serum takes effect, you’ll start to see your skin continue to improve in the days after your session. Each infusion promotes collagen and elastin production in your skin. These proteins are responsible for your skin’s structure and firmness. With more of these proteins, you’ll see tighter skin, a smoother surface, and a reduced appearance of your wrinkles and lines.
Comparing Treatments
DiamondGlow vs. Hydrafacial
Both DiamondGlow and Hydrafacial are advanced treatments designed to improve skin texture, tone, and overall health, but they each have unique benefits.
- DiamondGlow uses a patented diamond-tip wand to exfoliate the skin, extract impurities, and infuse medical-grade serums simultaneously. Its customizable diamond tips allow for more precise exfoliation, making it particularly effective for targeting specific concerns like hyperpigmentation, fine lines, and uneven texture. It also doesn’t rely on water-based solutions, making it a great option for those seeking targeted serum delivery.
- Hydrafacial, on the other hand, focuses on deep cleansing and hydration through its vortex technology, which uses water-based suction to exfoliate and infuse serums. It’s especially popular for providing intense hydration and a “dewy” glow immediately after treatment, making it a favorite for those with dry or sensitive skin.
Ultimately, neither treatment is objectively “better”; the right choice depends on your unique skin needs and goals. During your consultation, we can help determine which treatment is best suited to give you the results you’re looking for!
DiamondGlow vs. Microneedling
Both DiamondGlow and microneedling are both highly effective treatments, but they work differently and target different skin concerns. Which is “better” depends on your specific skin goals.
DiamondGlow offers immediate results with no downtime, making it ideal for a quick refresh or regular maintenance.
Microneedling is a more intensive treatment compared to DiamondGlow and is particularly effective for deeper concerns like scarring, wrinkles, and more significant texture issues. Microneedling requires some recovery time as the skin heals and regenerates, but the results are long-lasting and more profound.
Our team can help you determine which treatment aligns with your needs and goals during a personalized consultation!
Over time, as your skin changes due to age and other environmental factors, you may need a combination of both treatments. We perform these treatments during separate appointments to allow your face and neck the proper time to heal in between.
